Purposes and legal bases for processing of personal data
When you place an order on www.magictruffles.com we ask you to provide personal data. In this section we specify what data we ask and for what purpose we use it.
In order to process your order and send it to the correct address, we ask you to provide your address details.
-Date of birth
The products on www.magictruffles.com are not sold to persons under 18 years old. We ask you to provide your date of birth to determine whether you can purchase our products.
In order to process your order properly, we ask you to provide your email address. We will send an order confirmation to the email address you have provided, as well as messages regarding changes in the status of your order. For instance, the status of your order changes when we have received your payment and when we have shipped your order. In case of irregularities in regard to your order we use your email address to contact you personally.
Optionally, you can also give us permission to use your email address for marketing purposes. You give us permission for this by ticking the appropriate box during the ordering process. Thereby you give us permission to send you a newsletter on a regular basis, as well as permission to send you notifications about discounts and other promotions. After you have registered for this service, you can unsubscribe from these messages at any time. You do this by clicking “unsubscribe” in one of the emails you no longer wish to receive.
Duration of storage of personal data
To place an order on www.magictruffles.com you can create a personal account. We store the data provided by you for as long as you continue to actively use your account. Accounts that have not been used for more than 26 months, which means that no order has been placed during a continuous period of 26 months, are considered inactive accounts. Inactive accounts are deleted. If your account has been deleted and you want to place a new order, you can create a new account, if desired with the same personal data. You have the right to have your account removed from our database. You can send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org to request the deletion of your account. Your account will then be removed from our database as soon as possible, but in any case within 72 hours.
Right to inspect, rectify or delete your personal data
You have the right to access, modify and delete your personal data. By logging in to your personal account you can view your personal details and modify them if necessary. If you wish to have your account deleted from our database you can send an e-mail with this request to email@example.com. Your account will then be removed from our system as soon as possible, but in any case within 72 hours.

You have the right to submit a complaint to the Dutch Data Protection Authority when you have a complaint about the way we process or have processed your personal data. You can do this via the website of the Dutch Data Protection Authority. Of course we would prefer it if you could first contact us in case of complaints. We do not share your personal data with third parties for commercial purposes.
We use Google Analytics to collect general information about the way our website is used.
